The Human-Made Pledge

Version 2026-10-20

Paranotica exists for strange things made by real people. Every artist agrees to this pledge when they join, and it applies to everything they post.

I promise that every piece I post on Paranotica:

  1. Is made by me or my studio. I made it myself, or it was made by people working in my studio under my direction.
  2. Is not mass-produced or simply 3D-printed. It isn't factory-made, print-on-demand, dropshipped or a store-bought item with small changes. 3D-printed or bought parts are fine as a small part of a larger piece I made by hand, but I don't sell items that are only 3D-printed. If I offer a small run, each piece is individually made by hand.
  3. Was not designed with AI. No AI tool generated or designed the artwork, the design behind it, or any image or pattern printed on it or used to make it. (Using AI for business tasks, like writing an email or planning my marketing, isn't covered by this pledge.)
  4. Is described honestly. My photos, videos and descriptions show the real piece and how it was made.
  5. Uses human materials responsibly. If a piece includes human hair or teeth, they were legally and ethically sourced, and my description says where they came from. I don't use any other human remains or body parts.
  6. Doesn't promote hate. No Nazi, KKK or white supremacist imagery, and nothing that promotes racism or hatred of people. Dark, disturbing, provocative or anti-religious work is welcome; promoting hate isn't.

I understand that Paranotica approves every piece before it goes live, may ask how a piece was made, and may decline or remove work, or close my account, if a piece doesn't meet this pledge.
