A home for strange handmade work
Strange things made by real people.
Paranotica is a curated place for dark, curious and quietly unsettling work, made by hand by independent artists. No mass-produced goods. No AI-generated art. Just the work, and the people who make it.

Your work deserves better than a search result.
On the big marketplaces, handmade work gets buried under phone cases, print-on-demand and AI art. Paranotica only shows original work made by real people, and every piece needs our approval before it goes live. People come here looking for strange things, so your work isn't fighting mass-produced decor for attention.
What you get
-
Human-made only
Every artist agrees to our Human-Made Pledge, and every piece is approved by our team before it goes live. No AI art, print-on-demand or factory goods.
-
A portfolio that keeps growing
When a piece sells, it moves into your archive and stays on your page with its photos and story. Links you've shared keep working.
-
Commissions built in
Open commissions, list what you offer with rough prices, then talk with customers, confirm a price and post updates in one place.
-
Selling is coming soon
We're building checkout now. Until it opens, people can show interest in your pieces, message you and request commissions, so you can see what people want.
-
Made to be shared
A short link for your bio, like paranotica.com/a/your-name, and a free QR code for business cards, tags and market tables.
-
No paid placement
Nobody can pay to be shown ahead of you. Good work gets seen because it's good.
-
Room to be strange
Dark, disturbing and provocative work is welcome here. The only line we draw is work that promotes hate.
-
Founding Artist
Artists who join in our first season get a Founding Artist badge on their page, and keep it.
How it works
-
Sign up
Tell us your artist or studio name, where to see your work, and a little about what you make. It takes two minutes.
-
Set up your page
We email you a link straight away. Choose a password, and your page is already filled in with what you told us.
-
Add your work
Upload photos of each piece, plus short videos if you like. When we approve your first piece, your page goes live.
The Council
Shaped by the artists who use it.
The Council is a page only artists can see. When we're weighing a new feature or a change to how Paranotica works, we bring it to the Council as a proposal, and artists vote on it. Artists can suggest proposals of their own, too.
- One artist, one vote on every proposal.
- Have an idea? Suggest a proposal of your own.
- Change your vote any time until the proposal closes.
- Tell us why. Only the Paranotica team sees your note, and we read every one.
- Take part in a few votes to become a Council Member.
What we're looking for
- Physical pieces made by hand, by you or people in your studio.
- Sculpture, assemblage, oddities, wearable pieces, relics, handmade prints. If it's strange and you made it, we'd like to see it.
- Dark, disturbing and provocative work is welcome.
What we don't accept
- AI-generated artwork or designs.
- Print-on-demand, dropshipped or mass-produced goods.
- Items that are entirely 3D-printed.
- Work that promotes hate.
Questions artists ask
Does it cost anything?
No. Joining Paranotica and setting up your artist page is free.
Can I use AI at all?
Not for the work. The artwork or design behind anything you post can't be AI-generated. Using AI for business tasks, like writing an email or planning your marketing, is up to you.
Do I keep the rights to my work?
Yes. Your work, photos and descriptions stay yours. You give us permission to show them on Paranotica and to use your published work to promote it.
When can people buy my work?
Very soon. We're building checkout now and will tell every artist the moment it opens. Until then, people can show interest, message you and request commissions.
